Mindscapes is a graphic animated diary that captures the flying images contained within the artist’s mind. The artist's thoughts, emotions and memories have been deliberately crafted into architecturally intricate maps. Consisting of 31 digital artworks taken from handmade pen sketches, the project was influenced by Indian and Aboriginal art (Warli paintings and Jivya Soma Mashe) as well as the visuals from contemporary electronic music videos. Inspired by the first emotional map drawn, Mindscapes also recalls the writer Madeleine de Scudéry who devised the Carte de Tendre (Map of Tenderness), which depicts a map of an Arcadia where the geography is based on the theme of love. Scudéry's works brought to life emotions such as melancholy, boredom, and restlessness, exploring the nuances of human feeling.

Similarly, Mindscapes delves into emotional landscapes, translating them into a language of lines and abstract forms in motion, where stylized figures also interact. Much like Scudéry’s Carte de Tendre, which maps the geography of love, Mindscapes also reflects on this emotion, repeating the word ‘LOVE’ in different encrypted languages, such as ASCII code and binary code. These repetitions evoke the complex and multifaceted nature of love, bridging traditional concepts with modern, digital interpretations through the use of coded alphabets.

By reinterpreting the concept of a symbolic map, Mindscapes presents a modern visual and artistic approach. The result is a meditative, intimate, and deeply personal artistic exploration that invites introspection and emotional resonance.
